Terms of Service

1. Overview

YummLens lets you create recipes from food photos using AI. We provide mobile apps for iOS and Android and associated services. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or older where required by your jurisdiction) to use YummLens. If you are under the age of majority, you need permission from a parent or guardian.

3. Account and security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and to update it as needed.
• You may delete your account at any time within the app (Profile → Delete account). This action permanently removes your content from our systems, subject to minimal retention needed for security and legal compliance, including a record in a “deleted users” list to prevent re‑registration using the same email (Apple requirement).

4. Acceptable use

• Do not upload unlawful, offensive, or infringing content, or content that contains personal data of others.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, or harm the service or other users.
• Do not upload images of people or sensitive personal data; the service is intended for food images only.

5. Your content and license to us

You own your content. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non‑exclusive license to host, process, and display your content solely to operate and improve the service (e.g., generate recipes, store your history, provide support). We do not sell your content.

6. AI and generated content

Generated recipes may not always be accurate. Always verify ingredients, allergens, and instructions before cooking. Use your best judgment and consult professionals if needed. You are responsible for your use of generated content.

7. Subscriptions, trials, and payments

• Subscriptions are billed through Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements.
• Pricing, trials, and promotional offers are shown in‑app and may vary by region.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription in the store account settings. Refunds are handled by the respective store according to its policies.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use your information. By using YummLens, you agree to our data practices.

9. Third‑party services

We rely on third‑party providers to operate the app (e.g., cloud storage, analytics, push notifications, email, AI processing). Your use of YummLens may involve these services under their terms and policies. We select reputable providers and implement safeguards.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, abuse the service, or create risks for other users. You may stop using YummLens at any time.

11. Disclaimers

YummLens is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. We do not guarantee that recipes or nutritional information are accurate, complete, or safe.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, YummLens and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising from your use of the service.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold YummLens and its affiliates harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from your use of the service or violation of these Terms.

14. Changes to the service or Terms

We may update the app or these Terms to improve the service or comply with law. If changes are material, we will notify you in‑app or by other reasonable means. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance.

15. Governing law

These Terms are governed by applicable laws of your place of residence, unless local law requires otherwise. Any disputes will be handled by competent courts with appropriate jurisdiction.
